   Been a long time since I have blogged away..lol..The lack of good internet service being the main reason..but I think I am now, fingers crossed, ok..and hope to make time to do more.

Mongo here on my arm, such a beautiful long tail..he is so gentle, I can hand him off to a very young child with no worries, and they love him..

 Pepper in a quizzing mood..
   Been doing a lot of renovations over the last couple of years, and the 'birds' finally are moved into their own room now, and loving it..we still tweak things, all the time actually, but, they are all quite content, and producing babies, so it all keeps this Mama busy.Its on the west side of my home, and has 4 nice windows in their 16'x8'space..I also use full spectrum lighting on timers, so they not only keep their beautiful feather colors , but it also contributes to their overall health.A few of my special friends, like Pepper,the African Grey, CJ, a Grey as well, Tony, my Rose Crown conure, Jack, a Green Cheek conure,and Mongo, an Alexandrine parakeet, all get to share my shower stall.and they love it, and it is less messy than using a hand sprayer on them..but they love both.Mongo will hang upside down from the top of his cage spreading his tail and wings out and just vibrates with pleasure, as he has his bath time.

  Pepper and CJ enjoying some pure berry juice, their favorite..

 ok that's it for today's post, back soon with more stories, hints tips and pictures..
Back to the story I'd share later;
A few years ago, when Vic was still alive,I had booked to go on a bus tour with a friend.., but just prior to that, a cat that decided to move in here with us..(outside) and have her kittens here, and then was taken by something, not sure what, but we were suddenly left with 5 little kittens, eyes barely open to deal with..well, many $$ on kitten formula later,having to bottle feed them..and also one batch of baby birds were not totally weaned yet..so..I was prepared to cancel the trip, but Vic said "No, you go, I can handle this.".( he had never fed any baby birds before but)...and he was working on a renovation, so off he trotted ...kittens in one box and formula, and bottles and bird pablum and babies in and other box with syringe and hot plate..off he went to work..using his lunch to to feed..lol, anyways, he got home one night, and was feeding birds, when he heard a knock on the screen door, to which my African Grey, Pepper who is very chatty, and she said "Come in" and... this woman did..{all when the birds were still in the living room ,before their 'bird room' was ready.} well, she was the owner of a place down the road and was upset over how the tenants were not doing what she wanted, and so she was lamenting, loudly..and Pepper piped up and told her to "Shut up!".{not a word that we use around here for that reason..cause like small children, they always learn what you really don't want them to!.}.Vic said her mouth dropped, and she tried to edge forward enough to see if I was around the corner and had said that..LOL who said birds are stupid?
