Life in this house of birds or the Chicken Coop, as my husband says!

First off, I will introduce you to my feathered friends.

Pepper is an African Grey, which was to be my dream bird, and one I hoped to get when I retired..not that I work now..or at least not work outside the home.. but, she happened along much earlier than I ever expected. Almost a year ago, when I read an ad for her, close by to where we live, and at a much lower price than one would expect, I was curious, and so got on the phone, and after speaking to her Mom, and learning a bit more about her and her circumstances, decided to make the trip to see her and find out if she would like me.. and so, the next day my son and I went to meet her,and ended up bringing her home... and my husband and I are enjoying her immensely. She is a One Bird Act! Most talkative during the morning hours, she recants the things she learned while with her first family, as well as a few new phrases she has learned here.At a little after six am, she starts her day by calling out Helloooo to see if anyone else is awake yet, and then once she warms up, she sings to herself that she is a pretty pretty pretty bird, and whistles for effect..haha.she calls our dog, Here Shiloh, come on here girl, and whistles for her as well as barking to get her attention..she then proceeds to call the cat, here Kit, meow meooww....
She has added so many new stories now and keeps everyone entertained, the birds in her room and us as well.
